Artist Bio

Scott Rogers was born in Mohkinstsis Treaty 7 Calgary (CA) and lives in Glasgow (SCO). He holds an MFA from the Glasgow School of Art, and also studied at the Staedelschule in Frankfurt am Main (DE).

His work examines the paradoxical relationships between humans, nonhumans, and land, with particular emphasis on mutualism and cross-species kinship. Recent solo exhibitions include Koraï Project Space (Nicosia, CY), Ivory Tars (Glasgow, SCO), The Bows (Mohkinstsis, CA), Gallery Malmo (Edinburgh, SCO), and Franz Kaka (Toronto, CA). Scott has also presented live and publishing projects with Kunstverein München (DE), Hospitalfield (Arbroath, SCO), KW Institute of Contemporary Art (Berlin, DE), and Western Front (Vancouver, CA).
