Orestis Lazouras (b. 1994, Nicosia) is a sculptor based in Nicosia. Lazouras’ practice is primarily influenced by local romanticism, fictional identities as well as a con- stant exploration of modern-day culture as he perceives it. He uses sculpture as styling, music as cultural stud- ies, readymade as inner self and personality as fiction.
Lazouras had solo exhibitions in Shmorevaz, Paris (2022); Ergo Collective, Athens, (2021); Thkio Ppalies, Nicosia (2019); The Breeder, Athens (2018); Volks, Nico- sia (2016); Neoterismoi Toumazou (2015).
Selected group exhibitions include Fold, Geneva (2021); NiMAC, Nicosia (2019, 2017); LiMAC, Limassol (2017); Glasgow International, Glasgow (2016); Transmission Gallery, Glasgow (2016). In 2013 he co-founded the artist-run space and collective Neoterismoi Toumazou which participated as part of the Cyprus Pavilion in the Venice Biennale in 2017.
